Macmillan Cancer Support’s brand-new bilingual Welsh information and support bus, Bronwen, will be in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea this month, at the following locations: Tuesday 13 February: 9am - 4pm Pontardawe Retail Park between Wednesday 14 February: 9am – 5pm Angel Square, Neath Thursday 15 February: 9am – 4pm people Outside Morrisons, Christchurch Road, Baglan Friday 16 & Saturday 17 February: 9am – 3pm Civic Square, Port Talbot Tuesday 20 February: 9am – 4pm Knab Rock car park, Mumbles Wednesday 21 & Thursday 22 February: 9am – 4pm Portland Street, Swansea Friday 23 & Saturday 24 February: 9am – 4pm Fforestfach Retail Parc, Swansea Bronwen comes with her friendly team of frontline health and social care professionals with years of experience in caring and supporting people living with cancer. The new bus hosts two electronic information screens, a private room for sensitive conversations and two iPads to enable people to find the information they need on the spot. Anyone who has been affected by cancer can visit the team, whether they’re living with cancer, have been recently diagnosed, caring for someone with cancer or worried about a loved one. As well as answering questions on the day, the team can signpost to other cancer services in the area and provide information on a range of issues, including financial advice and wellbeing.
